"C Major...with a little saccharine"

Greetings from the Magick Kingdom. Before I indulge you with a few of the 700 photos that Brian Patrick took on Day 3...Mary Votava, my lovely Faith...knowing my fondness for "The Hunger"...learned to play, and surprised me with Acte I, No.2: Duetto from the opera "Lakme". It was one of the sweetest things anyone's every done for me.

And now...enjoy.

Harmony feels a lot better now.

Ben has such excellent posture in the face of danger.

Brian is doomed.

"Predators..." invades Canada

"The Daughters of Darkness" and "Macabre Pair of Shorts" have been getting the lion's share of my ramblings lately. So the Fates intervene occasionally to remind my to shamelessly talk about my favorite movie in the Magick Films treasure chest.

You know, it's strange. This phenomenon happens a couple of times a year. I stumble on to it accidentally occasionally, be it that I never know about it in advance. "Predators from Beyond Neptune" is currently running again this month on the Independent Film Channel in Canada. This happened last year as well and sometimes would run back to back with "Permanent Midnight", which my friend David Veloz directed and was produced by my dear friend Don Murphy.

This time it's running back to back with a film called "Bully", which was also produced by my friend Don...and other times it is back to back with a film called "Comic Book Villains", which was directed by my friend James Robinson. I find it strangely appropriate as both Don Murphy and James Robinson appear in "Predators from Beyond Neptune". Somebody at the IFC is paying attention.

"Daughters" - Day One

Good morning. Our first ridiculously ambitious day was a swimming success...(thanks to so many people). The camera crew, the production design, and the cast...oh, the cast...how I love them so. I must start digitizing...I'll write more about it all later...but here's a few shots...if you're interested....
